Rossells Security Ltd was established in 1928 as a small family run Locksmiths. Over the years, our thousands of customers have driven the expansion of the specialist services we offer to homes, businesses, public sector organisations and national facilities management groups. In 2016 we moved into a brand new purpose built premises to facilitate our expansion and provide dedicated workspaces for our teams to carry out their tasks efficiently. We partner with some of Leicester’s leading IT, Fire, Building and Communications companies to ensure we can provide a complete service package to our clients.

1928
Rossells was founded by Sydney Rossell. Emigrating from Canada, he drew on his existing experience in the locksmith trade to support his family in the UK. The business began life in a small shop located on Waterloo Street in Leicester.
Our History
Rossells has a very proud history, serving the communities across Leicester for over 90 years. Our story is one of family ownership and entrepreneurial spirit, combined with a dedication to our customer service and the work we do has ensured our continued growth over 90 years in business.
1963
Sydney’s two sons joined the thriving family business, expanding the outside locksmith work, and increasing the services offered at the Waterloo Street shop.
1973
Following the decision by Leicester City Council to include Waterloo Street in the program to create an inner city ring road, all of the shops located on Waterloo Street were demolished and with the two sons taking the lead, Rossells was forced to establish a new home at 101 London Road.
2004
Following on from the retirement of the Rossells sons, the business ownership changed to family friends in the 90’s, and Rossells became a Limited Company and registered under the name of Rossells Locksmiths Ltd.
2016
Rossells left its historic home of London Road for a brand new larger premises bringing together its Warehouse, Trade Counter, Workshops and Offices. To better represent the company’s portfolio of services and products, the company name was changed to Rossells Security Ltd.
